About
My name is John Fensel, I’m a fourth year philosophy major trying to pursue a graduate education. I’ve maintained this blog since the beginning of my sophomore year of college, and I plan on keeping it up as long as I’m studying philosophy. My opinions are subject to change over time, as I already disagree with a few points I wrote on earlier. The posts will remain unchanged, however, so the development of my ideas can be seen naturally.
I welcome comments, feedback, and all forms of argument on my posts. I enjoy philosophy because I enjoy debates, and I appreciate well-informed opinions regardless of whether or not I agree with them. My posts will primarily focus on meta ethics and the philosophy of religion, though I am also interested in politics, metaphysics, applied ethics, and particularly the philosophies of David Hume and Christine Korsgaard.

Hi John,
Good day! How are you? I have read your answers at Yahoo Answer (How beneficial do you think religion is for a society?
) and follow your site. I found your answer a little bit concern. I’m not well verse in Bible and other study in life. But I am proud to what i have achieve and having right now. Pardon my english if you find it inproper. I suggest that you look and listen to Bro. Eli Soriano the most sensible Preacher in the world. I have meet many people and been to many places while working. I encounter also a professor in my College that dont believe in what i believe in and many old people same as me think the same. We cannot say it insane or uninforme. But if you listen first to the person i told you you might find what im telling to you. Here are site you could further enhance your study.

I checked out a couple articles of his, and his arguments really fail logically. I couldn’t find a proper place to comment on the articles, so I’ll write one objection here:

In this article he is trying to explain natural disasters. First, he claims that when atheists ask why God let’s this happen it proves that we believe in God. This is completely false. Natural disasters are in fact proof that there is no loving God, as the argument is that “if God exists and is loving, why do natural disasters exist?”. Since they do exist, and have no impact on our free will, it makes no sense for God to have created them (and mankind is not responsible for the vast majority of natural disasters).
Hey awesome website. This is exactly what Ive been wanting to do. Build a website filled with my thoughts on issues. It looks great.
Woendrful explanation of facts available here.
